1.0 Downloading and Installing Vertigo - Palm WebOS smartphones

Clicking the link below will download the Vertigo installation file Vertigo-Installer.prc.

  • Connect the Palm WebOS smartphone to the PC; copy Vertigo-Installer.prc into the ClassicApps/PALM/Launcher/Install/ folder on the PC. Disconnect the smartphone and start Classic; execute Vertigo-Installer.prc on the smartphone to install Vertigo.

    • 2.0 Downloading and Installing Vertigo - Palm 'Classic' PDAs

    Clicking the link below will download and install the Vertigo files. The software runs on all Palm PDAs from OS3.5 to OS5. Vertigo can be installed into the main memory or onto an expansion card.

    Depending on the computer or PDA you are using, one of the following actions will occur:

  • For Palm PDAs, the installation package will be downloaded and installed to the PDA 'over-the-air'.

  • For Windows computers, the installation package Vertigo.exe will be downloaded and Vertigo will be unpacked into the Hotsync directory. Vertigo will be installed on the PDA when Hotsync is next run. Palm Desktop ® needs to be installed on the PC.

  • For Mac computers, the installation package Vertigo-Installer.prc will be downloaded into the Hotsync directory. The Vertigo installer will be copied to the Palm PDA when Hotsync is next run and should be executed on the PDA to unpack and install Vertigo. Palm Desktop ® needs to be installed on the PC.

    If you wish to download Vertigo to install at a later time, or if you wish to download and retain Vertigo in a particular folder on your PC or on your PDA, click one of the links below. The Windows PC file Vertigo-Installer.exe or Mac PC/Palm file Vertigo-Installer.prc can be executed at any time to install the files ready for the next HotSync operation.

    3.0 Downloading help for Vertigo

    The Vertigo help file can be downloaded in Acrobat (pdf) format.

    4.0 Uninstalling Vertigo

    To remove Vertigo from the Palm device, click Home, click Delete. Select Vertigo and click Delete. This will also remove Vertigo from the Hotsync list.

    If no other software requiring the NSB runtime files is installed on the device, Mathlib, NSBRuntime, NSBStringLib, NSBResize and NSBSystemLib, can also be deleted.
