1.0 Downloading and Installing Resound - Palm WebOS smartphones

Clicking the link below will download the Resound installation file Resound-Installer.prc.

  • Connect the Palm WebOS smartphone to the PC; copy Resound-Installer.prc into the ClassicApps/PALM/Launcher/Install/ folder on the PC. Disconnect the smartphone and start Classic; execute Resound-Installer.prc on the smartphone to install Resound.
  • 2.0 Downloading and Installing Resound - Palm 'Classic' PDAs

    Clicking the link below will download and install the Resound files. The software runs on all Palm PDAS from OS3.5 to OS5. Resound can be installed into the main memory or onto an expansion card.

    Depending on the computer or PDA you are using, one of the following actions will occur:

  • For Palm PDAs, the installation package will be downloaded and installed to the PDA 'over-the-air'.
  • For Windows computers, the installation package Resound.exe will be downloaded and Resound will be unpacked into the Hotsync directory. Resound will be installed on the PDA when Hotsync is next run. Palm Desktop ® needs to be installed on the PC.
  • For Mac computers, the installation package Resound-Installer.prc will be downloaded into the Hotsync directory. The Resound installer will be copied to the Palm PDA when Hotsync is next run and should be executed on the PDA to unpack and install Resound. Palm Desktop ® needs to be installed on the PC.
  • If you wish to download Resound to install at a later time, or if you wish to download and retain Resound in a particular folder on your PC or on your PDA, click one of the links below. The Windows PC file Resound-Installer.exe or Mac PC/Palm file Resound-Installer.prc can be executed at any time to install the files ready for the next HotSync operation.

    3.0 Downloading help for Resound

    The Resound help file can be downloaded in Acrobat (pdf) format.

    4.0 Uninstalling Resound

    To remove Resound from the Palm device, click Home, click Delete. Select Resound and click Delete. This will also remove Resound from the Hotsync list.

    If no other software requiring the NSB runtime files is installed on the device, Mathlib, NSBRuntime, NSBStringLib, NSBResize and NSBSystemLib, can also be deleted.
